V2.0 - Automatic Inverter Transfer Switch - 230V/1000W with LED
This automatic transfer switch (ATS) can easily be used between your electrical appliances & the 230V output of the inverter / municipal grid due to its plug & play configuration. When the grid is ON the power is fed through the ATS to the appliances. Then when the grid fails (OFF) due to load shedding or maintenance, the power from the inverter is fed through to the appliances. This results in a constant power flow during the period of switchover. When the grid comes back ON, the unit will switch over automatically from INVERTER to GRID again. It all happens automatically.
No need to plug extension leads over manually from one source (GRID or INVERTER) to another. So in essence it simulates a UPS functionality in terms of the constant power flow.
The two outputs from the grid & inverter are isolated from each other, which restricts any power to flow from one source (GRID) to the other (INVERTER), thus protecting the inverter from damage or grid from tripping.
It is advisable to plug the ATS into a surge protection adapter / multi-plug to prevent spikes form the grid.
